Treating Cystitis with D-Mannose
On onset of symptoms, drink a glass of warm water,juice or tea (not orange or cranberry), with one heaped teaspoon of D-Mannose. Take another an hour later. This gives the treatment a kick start.
Continue by taking one level teaspoon of D-Mannose every three to four hours for the first two days. It is an ongoing process to heal the bladder.
Don’t stop taking when symptoms are fully alleviated. The idea is to completely flush all of the attached bacteria and debris away from the wall of the bladder and urethra, so after the first two days, assuming that you feel better, reduce the dose to a level teaspoonful three times a day for the following three days, or until you are certain that the infection has totally gone. (Clear urine, no pain, no frequent urge to go, and passing water easily). Continue with one or two a day until you have finished the pack. Some people need to take a dose during the night.
Use a heat pad for comfort until the symptoms disappear. It will usually help slow the growth of the bacteria if you keep the urine slightly alkaline. This lets the D-Mannose do its work faster.
When you are better, remember that the Waterfall D-Mannose is an excellent preventative. Use it regularly to prevent further infections.
If symptoms are not alleviated substantially within 24 hours seek medical advice. Cystitis-like symptoms may be caused by disorders other than urinary tract infections, or you may have a rare infection that D- Mannose is less effective against. But before you give up, try increasing the dose level and frequency, this usually works.

If you are trying to get pregnant, note that D-Mannose attaches to free sperm like it does to E coli, so may stop the sperm from attaching to your egg.
